CAUTION:
Some of these service operations affect the SRS airbag system. Read the precautionary notices concerning the SRS airbag system before servicing Click here.
If the side airbag was deployed, replace the front seat airbag assembly, separate type front seatback spring assembly, separate type front seatback cover and separate type front seatback pad with a new one.
Note
Always use "TORX" socket wrench E10 when removing the front seat.
PROCEDURE
INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH
Note
Follow the procedure described below in order to prevent the seat tracks from locking separately.
Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
Insert the 2 location pins through the 2 body holes, place the front seat in the foremost position and make sure that the inner and outer seat tracks are locked securely.
Using E10 "TORX" socket wrench, install bolt 1 and then bolt 2 onto the rear side.
Move the front seat to the rearmost position, and then make sure that the inner and outer seat tracks are securely locked.
Using E10 "TORX" socket wrench, install bolt 3 and then bolt 4 onto the front side.
Make sure that the inner and outer seat tracks lock simultaneously after the seat is moved.
Tech Tips
If the inner and outer seat tracks do not lock simultaneously, loosen the bolts and adjust the seat tracks.
Connect the buckle switch connector.
Connect the front seat side airbag connector.
INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY RH
Tech Tips
Use the same procedure as for the LH side.
INSTALL SEAT TRACK OUTER COVER LH (for Driver Side)
Move the seat to the foremost position.
Engage the 2 claws to install the seat track outer cover LH.
INSTALL SEAT TRACK OUTER COVER RH (for Front Passenger Side)
Tech Tips
Use the same procedure as for the LH side.
