FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY(for 3 Door) DISASSEMBLY

Tech Tips

The procedure described below is for the driver side. Use the same procedure for both the driver and front passenger sides, unless otherwise specified.

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the front seat headrest assembly.

  2. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE LH

      *1 Protective Tape

      Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the claw to remove the reclining adjuster release handle LH.

  3. REMOVE VERTICAL ADJUSTING HANDLE LH (w/ Vertical Adjuster)

      Remove the screw and vertical adjusting handle LH.

  4. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH

      Remove the screw.

    2. Disengage the 2 claws and clip, and remove the front seat cushion shield LH.

  5. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER (for LHD)

      Remove the 4 clips and the front seat cushion cover.

  6. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH (for Driver Side)

  7. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY RH (for Front Passenger Side)

  8. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION INNER SHIELD LH

      Disengage the 2 claws to remove the front seat cushion inner shield LH.

  9. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD

      Disconnect the seat cushion cover band.

    2. A01VK3E

      Disconnect the seat heater connector. (w/ Seat Heater System)

    3. A01VFMQ

      Disengage the seat heater wire harness clamp. (w/ Seat Heater System)

    4. A01VEAS

      Unfasten the hook and loop fastener.

    5. A01VLEH

      Disengage the 2 hooks.

    6. A01VF23

      Disengage the 4 hooks.

    7. A01VKLM

      Disengage the 7 clamps to separate the front seat side airbag wire harness.

    8. A01VJIR

      Disengage the 4 clamps to separate the seat heater wire harness. (w/ Seat Heater System)

    9. A01VFEQ

      Disengage the guide to remove the occupant detection sensor connector. (for Front Passenger Side)

    10. A01VJZW

      Disengage the 2 hooks.

    11. Disengage the 5 hooks to remove the seat cushion with pad.

  10. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER


    1. A01VIII

      Disengage the 15 hooks to remove the separate type front seat cushion cover from the separate type front seat cushion pad.

  11. REMOVE RECLINING REMOTE CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

      *1 Protective Tape

      Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the claw to open the cover.

      Slide up the cover.

    3. A01VIRM

      Remove the 2 screws.

    4. A01VJXV

      Disengage the clamp and cable end and remove the reclining remote control lever sub-assembly.

  12. REMOVE SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD

      Disengage the hook.

    2. A01VG6O

      Disengage the 2 hooks.

    3. A01VE5T

      Disengage the 4 claws to remove the 2 front seat headrest supports.

    4. A01VKXX

      Remove the 2 nuts and the seatback bracket.

    5. Remove the front seatback cover with pad.

  13. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER

      Disengage the 5 hooks to remove the separate type front seatback cover from the separate type front seatback pad.

  14. REMOVE RECLINING REMOTE CONTROL BASE

      Disengage the 4 guides to remove the reclining remote control base.

  15. REMOVE FRONT SEAT AIRBAG ASSEMBLY LH

      Disengage the 2 clamps.

    2. A01VGAU

      Remove the 2 nuts and the front seat side airbag assembly LH

      CAUTION:


      • The nuts must not be reused.

      • Make sure that the separate type front seatback spring assembly is not deformed. If it is, replace it with a new one.

  16. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION LOWER SHIELD (for Driver Side)

      Disengage the 2 claws to remove the front seat cushion lower shield.

  17. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH (for Driver Side)

      Disengage the guide to remove the reclining adjuster inside cover RH.

  18. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH (for Driver Side)

      Disengage the guide to remove the reclining adjuster inside cover LH.

  19. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION LOWER SHIELD RH (for Driver Side)

      Disengage the hook as shown in the illustration.

    2. A01VDUY

      Remove the screw.

    3. Disengage the clip to remove the front seat cushion lower shield RH.

  20. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION LOWER SHIELD LH (for Driver Side)

      Disengage the hook as shown in the illustration.

    2. A01VL2D

      Remove the screw.

    3. Disengage the clip to remove the front seat cushion lower shield LH.

  21. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR RH (for Driver Side)

      Remove the screw.

    2. Disengage the 2 guides to remove the seat cushion edge protector RH.

  22. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR LH (for Driver Side)

      Remove the screw.

    2. Disengage the 2 guides to remove the seat cushion edge protector LH.

  23. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR RH (for Front Passenger Side)

      Remove the screw.

    2. Disengage the 2 guides to remove the seat cushion edge protector RH.

  24. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR LH (for Front Passenger Side)

      Remove the screw.

    2. Disengage the 2 guides to remove the seat cushion edge protector LH.

  25. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER EQUALIZING CABLE ASSEMBLY

      Disengage the clamp and cable end to remove the reclining adjuster equalizing cable assembly.

  26. REMOVE NO. 2 SEAT ADJUSTER CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY

      Disengage the clamp and cable end.

    2. Separate the casing cap.

    3. Disengage the nipple end to remove the No. 2 seat adjuster control cable assembly.

  27. REMOVE RECLINING REMOTE CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY

      Disengage the 3 clamps and cable end to remove the reclining remote control cable assembly.

  28. REMOVE SEAT LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY (for Front Passenger Side)

      Disengage the 2 clamps and 2 cable end to remove the seat lock control cable assembly.

  29. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK SPRING ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 4 bolts and separate type front seatback spring assembly.

  30. REMOVE SEAT ADJUSTER COVER CAP

      Remove the 2 seat adjuster cover caps.

  31. REMOVE SEAT TRACK ADJUSTING HANDLE

      Disengage the 2 hooks to remove the seat track adjusting handle.
