CAUTION:
Some of these service operations affect the SRS airbag system. Read the precautionary notices concerning the SRS airbag system before servicing Click here.
If the side airbag was deployed, replace the front seat airbag assembly, separate type front seatback spring assembly, separate type front seatback cover and separate type front seatback pad with a new one.
Note
Always use "TORX" socket wrench E10 when removing the front seat.

Note
After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work Click here.
DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
REMOVE SEAT TRACK OUTER COVER LH (for Driver Side)
Move the seat to the foremost position.
Disengage the 2 claws to remove the seat track outer cover LH.
REMOVE SEAT TRACK OUTER COVER RH (for Front Passenger Side)
Tech Tips
Use the same procedure as for the LH side.
REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH
Disconnect the buckle switch connector.
Disconnect the front seat side airbag connector.

Place a finger on the slider, slide the slider to release the lock, and then disconnect the front seat side airbag connector.
Using E10 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 2 bolts on the rear side of the seat.
Move the seat to the rearmost position.
Using E10 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 2 bolts on the front side of the seat.
Lift up the seat track adjusting handle.
Remove the front seat assembly LH.
Note
Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
