DESCRIPTION

DTC C1AA0 is output when an internal circuit malfunction in the pre-crash safety city sensor is detected.

C1AA0 When the ignition switch is ON and the system is operating, an internal circuit malfunction continues in the pre-crash safety city sensor for 5 seconds or more.

Note


  • When replacing the pre-crash safety city sensor, replace it with a new one. If an ECU which was installed to another vehicle is used, the information stored in the pre-crash safety city sensor will not match the information from the vehicle and, as a result, a DTC may be output.

  • If the pre-crash safety city sensor has been replaced, or the windshield glass has been replaced or removed/installed, be sure to perform Recognition Camera/Target Position Memory and Recognition Camera Axis Adjust.

  • Perform adjustment using "ONE TIME RECOGNITION" or "SEQUENTIAL RECOGNITION".


  • Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following procedure.*1

  1. CHECK FOR DTCs


    1. Check if the stored DTCs are current DTCs.

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TSS C HTR RELAY (PRE-CRASH SAFETY CITY HEATER RELAY) COIL CIRCUIT) (TSS C HTR RELAY COIL CIRCUIT)


    1. Remove the ECU-IG NO. 1 fuse.

    2. Remove the TSS C HTR relay (pre-crash safety city heater relay).

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      ECU-IG NO. 1 fuse terminal 2 - TSS C HTR relay (pre-crash safety city heater relay) holder terminal 1 Positive (+) tester probe → ECU-IG NO. 1 fuse terminal 2 Negative (-) tester probe → TSS C HTR relay (pre-crash safety city heater relay) holder terminal 1 Always Below 1 Ω
      Positive (+) tester probe → TSS C HTR relay (pre-crash safety city heater relay) holder terminal 1 Negative (-) tester probe → ECU-IG NO. 1 fuse terminal 2 Always 10 kΩ or higher
    4. Disconnect the L12 pre-crash safety city sensor connector.

    5. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
