FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY(for 5 Door) REASSEMBLY

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL SEAT TRACK ADJUSTING HANDLE


    1. A01VFXH

      Engage the 2 hooks to install the seat track adjusting handle.

  2. INSTALL SEAT ADJUSTER COVER CAP LH


    1. A01VIAM

      Install the 2 seat adjuster cover caps.

  3. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK SPRING ASSEMBLY


    1. A01VHSJ

      Install the separate type front seatback spring assembly with the 4 bolts.

      Torque:
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }

  4. INSTALL SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR RH (w/ Vertical Adjuster)

      Engage the 2 guides to install the seat cushion edge protector RH.

    2. Install the screw.

  5. INSTALL SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR LH (w/ Vertical Adjuster)


    1. A01VLRB

      Engage the 2 guides to install the seat cushion edge protector LH.

    2. Install the screw.

  6. INSTALL SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR RH (w/o Vertical Adjuster)

      Engage the 2 guides to install the seat cushion edge protector RH.

    2. Install the screw.

  7. INSTALL SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR LH (w/o Vertical Adjuster)

      Engage the 2 guides to install the seat cushion edge protector LH.

    2. Install the screw.

  8. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION LOWER SHIELD RH (w/ Vertical Adjuster)

      Engage the clip and install the screw.

      Engage the hook to install the front seat cushion lower shield RH as shown in the illustration.

  9. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION LOWER SHIELD LH (w/ Vertical Adjuster)

      Engage the clip and install the screw.

    2. A01VIMW

      Engage the hook to install the front seat cushion lower shield LH as shown in the illustration.

  10. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH (for TMC Made)

      Engage the guide to install the reclining adjuster inside cover RH.

  11. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH (for TMC Made)

      Engage the guide to install the reclining adjuster inside cover LH.

  12. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION LOWER SHIELD (w/ Vertical Adjuster)


    1. A01VKAU

      Engage the 2 claws to install the front seat cushion lower shield.

  13. INSTALL FRONT SEAT AIRBAG ASSEMBLY LH


    1. A01VGAU

      Install the front seat airbag assembly LH with 2 new nuts.

      CAUTION:


      • The nuts must not be reused.

      • Make sure that the separate type front seatback spring assembly is not deformed. If it is, replace it with a new one.

      Torque:
      5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }
    2. A01VIS4

      Engage the 2 clamps.

  14. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER (for TMMF Made)


    1. A01VEBY

      Engage the 5 hooks to install the separate type front seatback cover to the separate type front seatback pad.

  15. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER (for TMC Made)

    Note


    • For vehicles with side airbags, the side airbags may not be activated normally unless the separate type front seatback cover is securely installed.

    • Check that the strap is not twisted after installing the bracket.

    • Install the bracket securely.

      *2 Hog Ring Pliers

      Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type front seatback cover to the separate type front seatback pad with 6 new hog rings.

      Note


      • Be careful not to damage the cover.

      • When installing the hog rings, take care to minimize wrinkles as much as possible.

  16. INSTALL SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD (for TMC Made)

      Temporary install the front seatback cover with pad.

    2. Install the front seatback cover bracket with the 2 nuts.

      Torque:
      5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }

      Note


      • For vehicles with side airbags, the side airbags may not be activated normally unless the front seatback cover is securely installed.

      • Check that the strap is not twisted after installing the bracket.

      • Install the bracket securely.

      Align the protruding portion of the front seat headrest support with the installation groove of the front seat adjuster frame.

    4. Engage the 4 claws to install the 2 front seat headrest supports.

      Using hog ring pliers, install 3 new hog rings.

      Note

      Do not soil or scratch the front seatback cover.

      Note

  17. INSTALL SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD (for TMMF Made)

      Temporary install the front seatback cover with pad.

    2. Install the front seatback cover bracket with the 2 nuts.

      Torque:
      5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }

      Note


      • For vehicles with side airbags, the side airbags may not be activated normally unless the front seatback cover is securely installed.

      • Check that the strap is not twisted after installing the bracket.

      • Install the bracket securely.

      Install the seat armrest assembly with the 2 washers and bolt.

      Torque:
      20 N*m  { 199 kgf*cm, 14 ft.*lbf }

  19. INSTALL SEAT ARMREST HOLE COVER (w/ Armrest)

      Engage the 2 claws to install the seat armrest cover.

  20. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER (for TMC Made)

      Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type front seat cushion cover to the separate type front seat cushion pad with 14 new hog rings.

      Note


      • Be careful not to damage the separate type front seat cushion pad.

      • When installing the hog rings, take care to minimize wrinkles as much as possible.

      Engage the 15 hooks to install the separate type front seat cushion cover.

  22. INSTALL SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD


    1. Engage the 5 hooks and temporary install the seat cushion cover with pad.

      Engage the guide to install the occupant detection sensor. (for Front Passenger Side)

    4. A01VJIR

      Engage the 4 clamps to install the seat heater wire harness. (w/ Seat Heater System)

      Engage the 7 clamps to install the front seat side airbag wire harness.

    6. A01VF23

      Engage the 4 hooks to install the seat cushion cover with pad.

    7. A01VLEH

      Engage the 2 hooks. (for TMMF Made)

    8. A01VFMQ

      Engage the seat heater wire harness clamp. (w/ Seat Heater System)

    9. A01VK3E

      Connect the seat heater connector. (w/ Seat Heater System)

    10. A01VEAS

      Fasten the hook and loop fastener.

    11. A01VJI4

      Connect the seat cushion cover band.

  23. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION INNER SHIELD LH


    1. A01VHUF

      Engage the 2 claws to install the front seat cushion inner shield LH.

  24. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH (for Driver Side)

  25. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY RH (for Front Passenger Side)

  26. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER (for LHD)


    1. A01VEL0

      Install the front seat cushion cover with the 4 clips.

  27. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH


    1. A01VJW0

      Engage the clip and 2 claws to install the front seat cushion shield LH.

    2. Install the screw.

  28. INSTALL VERTICAL ADJUSTING HANDLE LH (w/ Vertical Adjuster)

      Install the vertical adjusting handle LH with the screw.

  29. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE LH

      Engage the claw to install the reclining adjuster release handle LH.

  30. INSTALL FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the front seat headrest assembly.
