FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY(for 5 Door) REMOVAL

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

CAUTION:

  • Some of these service operations affect the SRS airbag system. Read the precautionary notices concerning the SRS airbag system before servicing (Click here).

  • If the side airbag was deployed, replace the front seat airbag assembly, separate type front seatback spring assembly, separate type front seatback cover and separate type front seatback pad with a new one.

Note:

Always use "TORX" socket wrench E10 when removing the front seat.

PROCEDURE

    PRECAUTION

    Note:

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work (Click here).

  2. Click here

    DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    CAUTION:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

  3. Click here

    REMOVE SEAT TRACK COVER OUTER LH (for Driver Side)


    1. Move the seat to the foremost position.

      Disengage the 2 claws to remove the seat track outer cover LH.

  4. Click here

    REMOVE SEAT TRACK COVER OUTER RH (for Front Passenger Side)

    Tip:

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  5. Click here

    REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Disconnect the buckle switch connector.

      Disconnect the front seat side airbag connector.

      *1 Slider - -

      1. Place a finger on the slider, slide the slider to release the lock, and then disconnect the front seat side airbag connector.

      Using E10 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 2 bolts on the rear side of the seat.

    4. Move the seat to the rearmost position.

    5. Using E10 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 2 bolts on the front side of the seat.

    6. Lift up the seat track adjusting handle. (w/ Vertical Adjuster)

    7. Remove the front seat assembly LH.

      Note:

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

    Tip:

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.
