PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT TELLTALE LIGHT ASSEMBLY (for TMMF Made)

      Component without harness connected

      (Telltale Light Assembly)

      Check the hazard switch function.


      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance:
        Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
        4(TB) - 5(E) Pushed Below 1 Ω
        Not pushed 10 kΩ or higher

        If the result is not as specified, replace the telltale light assembly.

      (Telltale Light Assembly)

      Check that the telltale light assembly illuminates.


      1. Apply battery voltage to the telltale light assembly and check that the telltale light assembly illuminates.

        OK
        Measurement Condition Specified Condition

        Battery positive (+) → 6(DIM)

        Battery negative (-) → 5(E)

        		 illuminates

        If the result is not as specified, replace the telltale light assembly.

      Check that the rear passenger seat belt left indicator illuminates.


      1. Apply battery voltage to the telltale light assembly and check that the rear passenger seat belt left indicator illuminates.

        OK
        Measurement Condition Specified Condition

        Battery positive (+) → 8(LAPB)

        Battery negative (-) → 11(RLID)

        		 illuminates

        If the result is not as specified, replace the telltale light assembly.

      Check that the rear passenger seat belt center indicator illuminates.


      1. Apply battery voltage to the telltale light assembly and check that the rear passenger seat belt center indicator illuminates.

        OK
        Measurement Condition Specified Condition

        Battery positive (+) → 8(LAPB)

        Battery negative (-) → 9(RCID)

        		 illuminates

        If the result is not as specified, replace the telltale light assembly.

      Check that the rear passenger seat belt right indicator illuminates.


      1. Apply battery voltage to the telltale light assembly and check that the rear passenger seat belt right indicator illuminates.

        OK
        Measurement Condition Specified Condition

        Battery positive (+) → 8(LAPB)

        Battery negative (-) → 10(RRID)

        		 illuminates

        If the result is not as specified, replace the telltale light assembly.

      Check that the front passenger airbag ON indicator illuminates.


      1. Apply battery voltage to the telltale light assembly and check that the front passenger airbag ON indicator illuminates.

        Battery positive (+) → 8(LAPB)

        Battery negative (-) → 2(PAON)

        		 illuminates

        If the result is not as specified, replace the telltale light assembly.

      Check that the front passenger airbag OFF indicator illuminates.


      1. Apply battery voltage to the telltale light assembly and check that the front passenger airbag OFF indicator illuminates.

        Battery negative (-) → 3(P-AB)

        		 illuminates

        If the result is not as specified, replace the telltale light assembly.
