DESCRIPTION
The airbag sensor assembly consists of parts including the deceleration sensor, the safing sensor, the drive circuit, the diagnosis circuit, and the ignition control circuit.
When the airbag sensor assembly receives signals from the deceleration sensor, it determines whether or not the SRS should be activated.
DTC B1000/31 is stored when a malfunction is detected in the airbag sensor assembly.

Tech Tips
When any other DTCs are stored simultaneously with B1000/31, repair the malfunctions indicated by those DTCs first.
If B1000/31 is output by itself, do not clear the DTC code. Instead, immediately replace the airbag sensor assembly.
