DESCRIPTION

The combination meter assembly receives headlight dimmer switch information signals, and flash the turn signal lights.

When IG voltage is 9.5 V or more and the following condition detected:


  1. Open in turn signal light circuit


  • Harness or connector

  • Bulb

  • Instrument panel junction block assembly

  • Combination meter assembly

When IG voltage is 9.5 V or more and the following condition detected:


  1. Short in turn signal light circuit or hazard warning light circuit


  • Harness or connector

  • Bulb

  • Instrument panel junction block assembly

  • Combination meter assembly

  1. INSPECT LIGHTS


    1. Inspect each turn signal light illumination.

      Result
      Result Proceed to
      One side of the turn signal lights does not illuminate. A
      Front turn signal lights do not illuminate. B
      Rear turn signal lights do not illuminate. C
      Side turn signal lights do not illuminate. D

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY - INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the F3 combination meter assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the 3B instrument panel junction block assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      for LH
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F3-13 (LL) - 3B-24 Always Below 1 Ω
      F3-13 (LL) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      for RH
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F3-7 (LR) - 3B-25 Always Below 1 Ω
      F3-7 (LR) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT TURN SIGNAL LIGHT - INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the A7*1 or A8*2 front turn signal light connector.


      • *1: for RH

      • *2: for LH

    2. Disconnect the 3C instrument panel junction block assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      A8-1 - 3C-28 Always Below 1 Ω
      A8-2 - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      A8-1 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      A7-2 - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR TURN SIGNAL LIGHT - INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the K38*1 or K37*2 rear turn signal light connector.


      • *1: for RH

      • *2: for LH

    2. Disconnect the 3D instrument panel junction block assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      K37-2 (B) - 3D-18 Always Below 1 Ω
      K37-6 (E) -Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      K37-2 (B) -Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SIDE TURN SIGNAL LIGHT ASSEMBLY - INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the G6*1 or H6*2 side turn signal light assembly connector.


      • *1: for RH

      • *2: for LH

    2. Disconnect the 3B instrument panel junction block assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      H6-4 - 3B-38 Always Below 1 Ω
      H6-5 -Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      H6-4 -Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  6. INSPECT INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the instrument panel junction block assembly Click here.

    2. Remove the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU).

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
