Note

Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

PROCEDURE


  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING INTELLIGENT TESTER


    1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Turn the intelligent tester on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body / Main Body / Active Test.

    5. According to the display on the intelligent tester, perform the Active Test.

      Main Body
      Tester Display Test Part Control Range Diagnostic Note
      Interior Panel Relay PANEL relay (Instrument panel junction block assembly) OFF or ON Light control switch in TAIL position.
      OK
      Relay operates when operating it using the Active Test (each light comes on or off).

    OK
    NG
  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY - MAIN BODY ECU)


    1. Disconnect the 3A instrument panel junction block assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the F76 main body ECU connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      3A-36 - F76-15 (PANL) Always Below 1 Ω
      3A-36 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    NG
    OK
  3. REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU


    1. Temporarily replace the main body ECU with a new functioning one Click here.


    NEXT
  4. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING INTELLIGENT TESTER


    1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Turn the intelligent tester on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body / Main Body / Active Test.

    5. According to the display on the intelligent tester, perform the Active Test.
