ENGINE IMMOBILISER SYSTEM(w/o Entry and Start System) Key Cannot be Registered

DESCRIPTION

A maximum of 5 master key codes and 3 sub key codes can be registered.

When replacing the key and transponder key ECU assembly, refer to the Service Bulletin.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK REGISTRATION MODE


    1. Check that the system enters registration mode.

      OK
      System enters registration mode

  2. READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER


    1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Turn the intelligent tester on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body / Immobiliser / Data List.

    5. According to the display on the intelligent tester, read the Data List.

  3. KEY REGISTRATION


    1. Refer to the table below to determine if additional keys can be registered.

    2. Check whether key registration.

  4. INSPECT UNLOCK WARNING SWITCH ASSEMBLY


    1. Inspect the unlock warning switch assembly Click here.

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TRANSPONDER KEY ECU ASSEMBLY - UNLOCK WARNING SWITCH)


    1. Disconnect the F15 unlock warning switch assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the F54 transponder key ECU assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F15-1 - F54-3 (KSW) Always Below 1 Ω
      F15-2 - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      F15-1 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
