FRONT DOOR LOCK INSTALLATION

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL FRONT DOOR INSIDE LOCKING CABLE ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. Install the front door inside locking cable to the front door lock.

2. INSTALL FRONT DOOR LOCK REMOTE CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. Install the front door lock remote control cable to the front door lock.

   2. 

      Engage the 7 claws.

3. INSTALL FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY

   Note

   
   

   • If reusing the front door lock assembly that has been removed, replace the door lock wire harness seal with a new seal.

   • Make sure that no grease or dirt adheres to the door lock wire harness seal surface.

   • Reusing the door lock wire harness seal or using a damaged door lock wire harness seal may cause water intrusion to the connection. This may result in a malfunction of the front door lock assembly.

   
   

   1. Apply MP grease to the sliding parts of the front door lock.

   2. Install the door lock wire harness seal to the front door lock.

   3.

      *1	Front Door Lock Open Rod
      	Slide Direction

      Insert the front door lock open rod to the front door lock.

      Tech Tips

      Make sure that the front door lock open rod is securely connected to the front door lock assembly.

   4. Using a "TORX" socket wrench T30, install the front door lock with the 3 screws.

      Torque:

      5.0 N*m  { 51 kgf*cm, 44 in.*lbf }

   5. Connect the connector.

4. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE COVER (w/ Lock Cylinder)

   
   

   1. Temporarily install the front door lock cylinder assembly.

      Note

      Check the engaging the front door lock cylinder assembly to the front door lock.

   2. Using a "TORX" socket wrench T30, install the front door lock cylinder assembly with the screw.

      Torque:

      4.0 N*m  { 41 kgf*cm, 35 in.*lbf }

   3. Install the hole plug.

5. INSTALL FRONT DOOR REAR LOWER FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY

8. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER (for 5 Door)

9. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER (for 3 Door)

10. INSTALL FRONT DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY (for 5 Door)

12. INSTALL FRONT ARMREST BASE UPPER PANEL (w/ Power Window)
