FRONT DOOR LOCK REMOVAL

PROCEDURE

1. REMOVE FRONT DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR HANDLE ASSEMBLY (w/o Power Window)

2. REMOVE FRONT ARMREST BASE UPPER PANEL (w/ Power Window)

   Click here

3. REMOVE FRONT ARMREST BASE UPPER PANEL (w/o Power Window)

   Click here

4. REMOVE FRONT DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY (for 5 Door)

   Click here

5. REMOVE FRONT DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY (for 3 Door)

   Click here

6. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER (for 5 Door)

   Click here

7. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER (for 3 Door)

   Click here

8. REMOVE FRONT DOOR GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY

   Click here

9. REMOVE FRONT DOOR GLASS RUN

   Click here

10. REMOVE FRONT DOOR REAR LOWER FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY

    Click here

11. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE COVER (w/ Lock Cylinder)

    
    

    1. Remove the hole plug.

    2. 

       Using a "TORX" socket wrench T30, remove the screw and the front door lock cylinder assembly.

12. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY

    
    

    1. 

       Disconnect the connector.

    2. Using a "TORX" socket wrench T30, remove the 3 screws.

    3.

       *1	Front Door Lock Open Rod
       	Slide Direction

       Slide the front door lock assembly downward, and remove the front door lock from the front door lock open rod.

    4. 

       Remove the door lock wire harness seal from the front door lock.

13. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOCK REMOTE CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY

    
    

    1.

       *1	Protective Tape

       Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the 7 claws.

    2. 

       Remove the front door lock remote control cable assembly from the front door lock.

14. REMOVE FRONT DOOR INSIDE LOCKING CABLE ASSEMBLY

    
    

    1. 

       Remove the front door inside locking cable assembly from the front door lock.
