POWER DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM Only Back Door cannot be Opened

DESCRIPTION

The main body ECU receives signals from the back door opener switch assembly. Then, the main body ECU activates the back door lock motor.

  1. SYSTEM CHECK


    1. Check the vehicle specification.

  2. READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (DOOR LOCK STATUS)


    1. Unlock all doors.

    2. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    3. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    4. Turn the intelligent tester on.

    5. Enter the following menus: Body / Main Body / Data List.

    6. According to the display on the intelligent tester, read the Data List.

      Prohibit: Back door locked

  3. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING INTELLIGENT TESTER


    1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Turn the intelligent tester on

    4. Enter the following menus: Body / Main Body / Active Test.

    5. According to the display on the intelligent tester, perform the Active Test.

  4. READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (BACK DOOR OPEN HANDLE SW)


    1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Turn the intelligent tester on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body / Main Body / Data List.

    5. According to the display on the intelligent tester, read the Data List.

  5. INSPECT BACK DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY

  6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BACK DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY - INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the P12 back door lock assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the 3D instrument panel junction block assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      P12-1 (ACT+) - 3D-9 (ACT+) Always Below 1 Ω
      P12-2 (ACT-) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      P12-1 (ACT+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  7. INSPECT INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY

    2. Remove the main body ECU.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      for LHD

      3E-1 - MB-6 (TR+) Always Below 1 Ω
      for RHD
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition

      3F-1 - MB-6 (TR+) Always Below 1 Ω
    4. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

  9. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MAIN BODY ECU - BACK DOOR OPENER SWITCH ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the F76 main body ECU connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F76-23 (BDSU) - P8-3 (B) Always Below 1 Ω
      P8-2 (L) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      P8-3 (B) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
