DESCRIPTION

The ECM communicates with the generator assembly via LIN communication. If a LIN communication error is detected, the ECM stores this DTC.

  1. CHECK CHARGING SYSTEM


    1. Check the charging system.

    REPAIR OR REPLACE CHARGING SYSTEM

    OK

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ECM - GENERATOR ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the B112 ECM connector.

    2. Disconnect the B111 generator assembly connector.

    3. Disconnect the B114 battery state sensor assembly connector.

    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      B112-61 (LIN) - B111-2 (LIN) Always Below 1 Ω
      B112-61 (LIN) or B111-2 (LIN) - Body ground

      Ignition switch off

      (while LIN communication is stopped)

      		 10 kΩ or higher
      Result
      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    NG

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

    OK

  3. READ OUTPUT DTC


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch ON.

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Clear the DTCs.

    5. Turn the ignition switch off and wait at least 30 seconds.

    6. Start the engine and wait 17 minutes or more.

    7. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Trouble Codes.

    8. Read the DTCs.
