GENERATOR(for TMMF Made except Cold Area Specification Vehicles) INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL GENERATOR ASSEMBLY


    1. A01VJUIE01

      Install the generator with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      Bolt A
      54 N*m  { 551 kgf*cm, 40 ft.*lbf }
      Bolt B (Bolt Type 8T)
      21 N*m  { 214 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }
      Bolt B (Bolt Type 10T)
      35 N*m  { 357 kgf*cm, 26 ft.*lbf }

      Tech Tips

      Bolt Type 8T and Bolt Type 10T can be identified by the different bolt head shapes as shown in the illustration.

    2. Install the 2 wire harness brackets with the 3 bolts.

      Torque:
      8.4 N*m  { 85 kgf*cm, 74 in.*lbf }

    3. Connect the 2 connectors and 4 clamps.

    4. Install the wire harness to terminal B with the nut.

      Torque:
      9.8 N*m  { 100 kgf*cm, 87 in.*lbf }

    5. Install the terminal cap.

  3. INSTALL OIL LEVEL DIPSTICK SUB-ASSEMBLY

  4. INSTALL FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT

  5. INSPECT FOR ENGINE OIL LEAK

  6. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Torque:
    5.4 N*m  { 55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf }
