GENERATOR(for VALEO Made) INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL GENERATOR ASSEMBLY


    1. B0045MGE01

      Install the generator assembly to the timing chain cover assembly with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      Bolt A
      54 N*m  { 551 kgf*cm, 40 ft.*lbf }
      Bolt B
      21 N*m  { 214 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }
    2. B0046NP

      Engage the 2 clamps and install the wire harness clamp bracket to the engine wire.

    3. Install the 2 wire harness clamp brackets to the generator assembly with the 3 bolts.

      Torque:
      8.4 N*m  { 86 kgf*cm, 74 in.*lbf }

    4. Engage the clamp to install the engine wire to the wire harness clamp bracket.

    5. Connect the compressor with pulley assembly connector.

    6. Connect the generator assembly connector.

    7. Connect the engine wire to the terminal B with the nut.

      Torque:
      9.8 N*m  { 100 kgf*cm, 87 in.*lbf }

    8. Install the No. 1 terminal cap to the generator assembly.

  5. INSTALL OIL LEVEL DIPSTICK SUB-ASSEMBLY

  6. INSTALL FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT

  7. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE COVER

  8. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Torque:
    5.4 N*m  { 55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf }

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.
