GENERATOR(for TMC Made Cold Area Specification Vehicles) DISASSEMBLY

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE WIRE HARNESS CLAMP BRACKET

      Remove the 2 bolts and the 2 wire harness clamp brackets.

  2. REMOVE GENERATOR CLUTCH PULLEY

      Using a screwdriver, remove the generator clutch pulley cap.

    2. Clamp the generator housing stay in a vise.

      Place the rotor shaft end into SST (A).

      *1 Clutch Pulley

      Fit SST (B) to the clutch pulley.

      Loosen the pulley by turning SST (B) in the direction shown in the illustration.

    6. Remove SST from the generator.

    7. Remove the clutch pulley from the rotor shaft.

  3. REMOVE GENERATOR REAR END COVER

      Place the generator assembly on the clutch pulley.

    2. A01VJMH

      Remove the 3 nuts and generator rear end cover.

  4. REMOVE GENERATOR TERMINAL INSULATOR

      Remove the terminal insulator from the generator coil.

  5. REMOVE GENERATOR BRUSH HOLDER ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 2 screws and brush holder from the generator coil.

  6. REMOVE GENERATOR COIL ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the 4 bolts.

      Using SST, remove the generator coil assembly.

  7. REMOVE GENERATOR ROTOR ASSEMBLY


    1. A01VM2T

      Remove the generator washer.

    2. A01VH9E

      Remove the generator rotor assembly.

  8. REMOVE GENERATOR DRIVE END FRAME BEARING


    1. A01VLBY

      Remove the 4 screws and generator retainer plate from the generator drive end frame.

    2. A01VGKVE01

      Using SST and a hammer, tap out the drive end frame bearing from the drive end frame.
