GENERATOR(for TMMF Made) DISASSEMBLY

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE WIRE HARNESS CLAMP BRACKET

    1. Remove the 2bolts and the 2wire harness clamp brackets.

  2. REMOVE GENERATOR PULLEY CAP

      *1 Generator Pulley Cap

      Using a screwdriver, remove the generator pulley cap.

  3. REMOVE GENERATOR CLUTCH PULLEY

    *1 Rotor Shaft

    1. Clamp the generator housing stay in a vise tightly.

    2. Place the rotor shaft end into SST(A).

      *1 Generator Clutch Pulley

      Fit SST(B) to the generator clutch pulley.

      *b Hold

      Loosen the generator clutch pulley by turning SST(B) in the direction shown in the illustration.

      Note


      • Check that the generator drive end frame is secured in a vise tightly.

      • Hold SST(A) tightly during the operation.

    5. Remove SST from the generator assembly.

    6. Remove the generator clutch pulley from the rotor shaft.

    7. Remove the generator assembly from a vise.

  4. REMOVE GENERATOR REAR END COVER

    1. Place the generator assembly on the generator clutch pulley.

      Remove the 3 bolts and generator rear end cover from the generator coil assembly.

  5. REMOVE GENERATOR TERMINAL INSULATOR

    1. Remove the generator terminal insulator from the generator coil assembly.

  6. REMOVE GENERATOR BRUSH HOLDER ASSEMBLY

    1. Remove the 2 screws and the generator brush holder assembly from the generator coil assembly.

  7. REMOVE GENERATOR COIL ASSEMBLY

    1. Remove the 4 bolts.

      Using SST, remove the generator coil assembly.

  8. REMOVE GENERATOR ROTOR ASSEMBLY

    1. Remove the generator washer from the generator rotor assembly.

      Remove the generator rotor assembly from the generator drive end frame.

      Note

      Do not drop the generator coil assembly.

  9. REMOVE GENERATOR DRIVE END FRAME BEARING

      Remove the 4 screws and generator bearing retainer plate from the generator drive end frame.

    2. A01VGKVE15

      Using SST and a hammer, tap out the generator drive end frame bearing from the generator drive end frame.
