GENERATOR(for VALEO Made) INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL GENERATOR ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the 2 wire harness clamp brackets to the generator assembly with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      8.4 N*m  { 86 kgf*cm, 74 in.*lbf }
    2. B00461NE03

      Temporarily install the generator assembly and generator bracket to the timing chain cover sub-assembly with the 3 bolts.

    3. Tighten the 3 bolts in the sequence shown in the illustration.

      Torque:
      Bolt (A)
      54 N*m  { 551 kgf*cm, 40 ft.*lbf }
      Torque:
      Bolt (B)
      34 N*m  { 347 kgf*cm, 25 ft.*lbf }

    4. Connect the compressor with pulley assembly connector.

    5. Engage the 2 clamps to connect the wire harness to the 2 wire harness clamp brackets.

    6. Connect the wire harness to terminal B with the nut.

      Torque:
      9.8 N*m  { 100 kgf*cm, 87 in.*lbf }

    7. Install the terminal cap.

  2. INSTALL FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT

  3. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Torque:
    5.4 N*m  { 55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf }

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.
