AUDIO AND VISUAL SYSTEM(for Radio and Display Type) Parking Brake Switch Circuit

DESCRIPTION

This circuit is from the parking brake switch assembly to the radio and display assembly.

WIRING DIAGRAM

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK BRAKE WARNING LIGHT

   
   

   1. Check that the brake warning light comes on when the parking brake is applied and goes off when it is released.

      OK
      The brake warning light operates as specified above.

2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO AND DISPLAY ASSEMBLY - PARKING BRAKE SWITCH ASSEMBLY)

   
   

   1. for TMC Made

      
      

      1. Disconnect the F109 radio and display assembly connector.

   2. for TMMF Made

      
      

      1. Disconnect the F117 radio and display assembly connector.

   3. Disconnect the F22 parking brake switch assembly connector.

   4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      for TMC Made Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition F109-6 (PKB) - F22-1 Always Below 1 Ω F109-6 (PKB) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      for TMMF Made Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition F117-6 (PKB) - F22-1 Always Below 1 Ω F117-6 (PKB) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
