  • Use the same procedure for both the RH and LH side.

  • The procedure described below is for the LH side.

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL REAR DOOR OUTSIDE MOULDING


    1. Clean the vehicle body surface.


      1. Using a heat light, heat any rear door outside moulding and adhesive remaining on the vehicle body.

        Heating Temperature
        Item Temperature
        Vehicle Body 40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F)

        CAUTION:

        Do not burn yourself on the hot rear door panel or with the heat light.

        Note

        Do not heat the vehicle body excessively.

      2. Using a piece of cloth, rub the remaining rear door outside moulding and adhesive off the vehicle body.

        Note

        Installing the rear door outside moulding while any double-sided tape remaining on the vehicle body may cause adhesion failure. Therefore, completely remove the double-sided tape.

      3. Using a non-residue solvent, clean the attachment surface.

    2. Engage the 3 clips and 3 claws to install rear door outside moulding.
