NAME PLATE REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE NO. 2 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR NAME PLATE


    1. B00485LC01
      *a Wooden Blocks
      *b Piano Wire
      B0046KM Protective Tape

      Apply protective tape to the back door panel in the area around the No. 2 luggage compartment door name plate.

    2. Pass a piano wire between the back door panel and No. 2 luggage compartment door name plate.

    3. Tie objects that can serve as handles (for example, wooden blocks) to both wire ends.

    4. Pull the piano wire and scrape off the double-sided tape that holds the No. 2 luggage compartment door name plate to the back door panel.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the back door panel.

    5. Remove the No. 2 luggage compartment door name plate.

    6. Remove the protective tape.

  2. REMOVE SYMBOL EMBLEM

    1. Disengage the 3 claws and guide to remove the symbol emblem.

  3. REMOVE BACK DOOR ORNAMENT (for GRMN)


    1. B0047ZX

      Remove the back door ornament from the symbol emblem.

  4. REMOVE NO. 1 BACK DOOR EMBLEM (for GRMN)

      B0046KM Protective Tape

      Apply protective tape to the back door panel in the area around the No. 1 back door emblem.

    2. Pass a piano wire between the back door panel and No. 1 back door emblem.

    3. Tie objects that can serve as handles (for example, wooden blocks) to both wire ends.

    4. Pull the piano wire and scrape off the double-sided tape that holds the No. 1 back door emblem to the back door panel.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the back door panel.

    5. Remove the No. 1 back door emblem.

    6. Remove the protective tape.

  5. REMOVE FRONT FENDER EMBLEM (for GRMN)

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

      Apply protective tape to the front fender sub-assembly in the area around the front fender emblem.

    2. Pass a piano wire between the front fender sub-assembly and front fender emblem.

    3. Tie objects that can serve as handles (for example, wooden blocks) to both wire ends.

    4. Pull the piano wire and scrape off the double-sided tape that holds the front fender emblem to the front fender sub-assembly.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the front fender sub-assembly.

    5. Remove the front fender emblem.

    6. Remove the protective tape.
