FRONT LOWER SUSPENSION ARM INSPECTION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT FRONT LOWER SUSPENSION ARM SUB-ASSEMBLY

    A01VDME

    1. As shown in the illustration, flip the ball joint stud back and forth 5 times before installing the nut.

    2. Using a torque wrench, turn the nut continuously at a rate of 2 to 4 seconds per turn and take the torque reading on the 5th turn.

      Torque:
      0.78 N*m  { 8 kgf*cm, 35 kgf*cm, 6.9 in.*lbf, 30 in.*lbf }

    3. Check for any cracks and grease leakage on the ball joint dust cover.
