  • Use the same procedure for the RH side as for the LH side.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE REAR WHEEL

  2. REMOVE REAR BRAKE DRUM SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Rear Drum Brake)

  3. SEPARATE NO. 3 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY (for Rear Disc Brake)

  4. SEPARATE REAR DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY (for Rear Disc Brake)

  5. REMOVE REAR DISC (for Rear Disc Brake)

    Click here

  6. REMOVE REAR AXLE HUB BOLT

      Using SST and a screwdriver or the equivalent, remove the axle hub bolt.

  7. INSTALL REAR AXLE HUB BOLT

      *1 Washer
      *2 Nut
      *a Hold
      *b Turn

      Install the washer and the nut onto a new axle hub bolt, as shown in the illustration.

      Recommended Service Nut
      Thread Diameter Thread Pitch
      12.0 mm (0.472 in.) 1.5 mm (0.0591 in.)

      Tech Tips

      Recommended thickness of the washer is 5 mm (0.197 in.) or more.

    2. Using a screwdriver or the equivalent to hold the axle hub, install the axle hub bolt by tightening the nut.

  10. INSTALL NO. 3 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY (for Rear Disc Brake)

  11. INSTALL REAR BRAKE DRUM SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Rear Drum Brake)

  12. INSTALL REAR WHEEL

    Torque:
    103 N*m  { 1050 kgf*cm, 76 ft.*lbf }

  13. INSPECT AND ADJUST PARKING BRAKE LEVER TRAVEL (for Rear Disc Brake)
