PARK / NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE REAR CONSOLE BOX

  2. REMOVE BATTERY

    Click here

  3. REMOVE BATTERY TRAY

    Click here

  4. REMOVE BATTERY CARRIER

    Click here

  5. DISCONNECT TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY


    1. Move the shift lever to N.

      Disconnect the cable end from the shift lever assembly.

      *1 Nut
      *a Rotate Approximately 180°
      *b Disconnect

      Rotate the nut approximately 180° in the direction shown in the illustration, and while holding the nut, disconnect the transmission control cable assembly from the shift lever assembly.

      Note

      Rotating the nut too much will damage the internal spring, and the transmission control cable assembly will not be reusable. Do not turn the nut too far.

    4. A01VIX1

      Remove the nut and disconnect the transmission control cable assembly from the transmission control shaft lever.

    5. Remove the clip and separate the transmission control cable assembly from the No. 1 transmission control cable bracket.

      Note

      Make sure to disconnect the transmission control cable assembly from the inside of the vehicle before disconnecting the transmission control cable assembly from the outside of the vehicle.

  6. REMOVE PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH ASSEMBLY


    1. Disconnect the park/neutral position switch connector.

    2. A01VEXN

      Remove the nut, the spring washer and the transmission control shaft lever.

    3. A01VK39

      Bend down the tabs of the nut stopper with a screwdriver and remove the lock nut and the nut stopper.

    4. A01VE87

      Remove the 2 bolts and the park/neutral position switch assembly.
