REVOLUTION SENSOR INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL TRANSMISSION REVOLUTION SENSOR (NT)


    1. Clean and degrease the bolt installation hole.

    2. Apply a light coat of Toyota Genuine CVT fluid FE to a new O-ring and install it to the transmission revolution sensor (NT).

      Note

      Be careful not to damage or twist the O-ring.

    3. Install the transmission revolution sensor (NT) to the continuously variable transaxle assembly with a new bolt.

      Torque:
      4.4 N*m  { 45 kgf*cm, 39 in.*lbf }

      Note

      Make sure that the O-ring is not damaged or does not jump out of position during installation.

    4. Connect the transmission revolution sensor (NT) connector.

  2. INSTALL TRANSMISSION REVOLUTION SENSOR (NIN)


    1. Apply a light coat of Toyota Genuine CVT fluid FE to a new O-ring and install it to the transmission revolution sensor (NIN).

      Note

      Be careful not to damage or twist the O-ring.

    2. Install the transmission revolution sensor (NIN) to the continuously variable transaxle assembly with the bolt.

      Torque:
      5.4 N*m  { 55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf }

      Note

      Make sure that the O-ring is not damaged or does not jump out of position during installation.

    3. Connect the transmission revolution sensor (NIN) connector.

  3. INSTALL TRANSMISSION REVOLUTION SENSOR (NOUT)


    1. Apply a light coat of Toyota Genuine CVT fluid FE to a new O-ring and install it to the transmission revolution sensor (NOUT).

      Note

      Be careful not to damage or twist the O-ring.

    2. Install the transmission revolution sensor spacer and transmission revolution sensor (NOUT) to the continuously variable transaxle assembly with the bolt.

      Torque:
      5.4 N*m  { 55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf }

      Note

      Make sure that the O-ring is not damaged or does not jump out of position during installation.

    3. Connect the transmission revolution sensor (NOUT) connector.

  4. INSPECT FOR CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSAXLE FLUID LEAK
