OIL PAN REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER LH

  2. DRAIN CVT FLUID


    1. A000H14

      Remove the refill plug and gasket from the continuously variable transaxle.

    2. A000LUO

      Using a 6 mm socket hexagon wrench, remove the overflow plug and gasket from the continuously variable transaxle.

      *1 No. 1 Transmission Oil Filler Tube

      Using a 6 mm socket hexagon wrench, remove the No. 1 transmission oil filler tube from the oil pan and drain the CVT fluid.

    4. Temporarily install the gasket and the overflow plug.

      Tech Tips

      Reuse the old gasket. The plug will be removed again to adjust the fluid level.

    5. Temporarily install the gasket and refill plug.

  3. REMOVE TRANSAXLE OIL PAN SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. A000KZO

      Remove the 15 bolts and the transaxle oil pan sub-assembly.

    2. Remove the transaxle oil pan gasket.

    3. Using a 6 mm socket hexagon wrench, remove the overflow plug and gasket.

    4. Using a 6 mm socket hexagon wrench, remove the No. 1 transmission oil filler tube.

  4. REMOVE OIL CLEANER MAGNET


    1. Remove the 2 oil cleaner magnets from the transaxle oil pan sub-assembly.

    2. Remove all metal particles from the oil cleaner magnet.

    3. Remove any metal particles and clean all sludge from the inside of the transaxle oil pan sub-assembly.

  5. REMOVE OIL STRAINER ASSEMBLY


    1. A000GMO

      Remove the 3 bolts and the oil strainer assembly from the continuously variable transaxle.

      Note

      Perform the operation carefully as some fluid will come out from the oil strainer assembly.

    2. A000LS6

      Remove the O-ring from the oil strainer assembly.
