SHIFT LEVER DISASSEMBLY

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE POSITION INDICATOR HOUSING ASSEMBLY

      Disengage the 4 claws to remove the position indicator housing assembly from the transmission floor shift assembly.

  2. REMOVE INDICATOR LIGHT WIRE SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Disengage the 3 clamps to separate the indicator light wire sub-assembly from the position indicator light housing.

    2. Turn the indicator light wire sub-assembly counterclockwise to remove it from the position indicator light housing.

  3. REMOVE POSITION INDICATOR LIGHT BULB


    1. Remove the position indicator light bulb from the indicator light wire sub-assembly.

  4. REMOVE POSITION INDICATOR LIGHT CAP


    1. Remove the position indicator light cap from the position indicator light bulb.

  5. REMOVE UPPER POSITION INDICATOR HOUSING

      Disengage the 4 claws to remove the upper position indicator housing from the position indicator light housing.

  6. REMOVE CONTROL POSITION INDICATOR PLATE


    1. A01VISB

      Disengage the claw to remove the control position indicator plate from the upper position indicator housing.

  7. REMOVE POSITION INDICATOR SLIDE COVER

      Remove the position indicator slide cover from the position indicator light housing.

  8. REMOVE NO. 2 POSITION INDICATOR SLIDE COVER

      Align the cutouts on the shank of the No. 2 position indicator slide cover and position indicator slide cover, and remove the No. 2 position indicator slide cover from the position indicator slide cover.

  9. REMOVE LOWER POSITION INDICATOR HOUSING

      Using a screwdriver, disengage the 5 claws to remove the lower position indicator housing from the shift lock control unit assembly.

  10. REMOVE SHIFT LOCK CONTROL ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Disengage the claw and pull out the shift lock control ECU sub-assembly with shift lock unit cover from the shift lock control unit assembly.

    2. A01VHUW

      Disengage the 2 clamps and guide to separate the shift lock solenoid wire from the shift lock unit cover.

    3. Disconnect the shift lock solenoid connector.

    4. A01VK6F

      Disengage the 3 claws to remove the shift lock unit cover from the shift lock control ECU sub-assembly.
