OIL COOLER INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER


    1. Apply Toyota Genuine CVT fluid FE to 2 new O-rings, and install them to the transmission oil cooler.

    2. Install the transmission oil cooler to the continuously variable transaxle assembly with the 3 bolts.

      Torque:
      21 N*m  { 214 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the O-rings.

  2. CONNECT HEATER WATER HOSE INLET A


    1. Connect the heater water hose inlet A to the transmission oil cooler, and slide the hose clip to secure it.

      Note

      Fully insert the heater water hose inlet A until the 2nd rib on each transmission oil cooler pipe.

  3. CONNECT WATER INLET HOSE


    1. Connect the water inlet hose to the transmission oil cooler, and slide the hose clip to secure it.

      Note

      Fully insert the water inlet hose until the 2nd rib on each transmission oil cooler pipe.

  4. ADD ENGINE COOLANT

  5. ADD CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSAXLE FLUID

  6. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK

  7. INSPECT FOR CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSAXLE FLUID LEAK

  8. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER LH
