SHIFT AND SELECT ACTUATOR REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. PRECAUTION

    Note

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work Click here.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

  3. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY

  4. REMOVE AIR CLEANER FILTER ELEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY

  5. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  6. REMOVE AIR CLEANER BRACKET

    Click here

  7. REMOVE BATTERY

    Click here

  8. REMOVE BATTERY TRAY

    Click here

  9. REMOVE BATTERY CARRIER

    Click here

  10. REMOVE NO. 1 AIR TUBE

      Disengage the 2 wire harness clamps.

    2. Remove the bolt and separate the wire harness.

    3. Loosen the 2 hose clamps.

    4. Remove the 2 nuts and the No. 1 air tube.

  11. REMOVE WIRE HARNESS CLAMP BRACKET

  12. REMOVE SHIFT AND SELECT ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY


    1. Disconnect the connectors and separate the wire harness clamp.

      Remove the 6 bolts and the wire harness clamp bracket from the shift and select actuator assembly.

      *1 Protective Tape

      Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, remove the shift and select actuator assembly from the manual transaxle assembly.

      Note

      Do not damage the manual transmission case.

  13. REMOVE TRANSMISSION BREATHER SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Disconnect the breather hose from the shift and select actuator assembly.

    2. Remove the bolt and the transmission breather sub-assembly from the shift and select actuator assembly.

  14. REMOVE RING PIN

      Remove the 2 ring pins from the shift and select actuator assembly.
