Note
After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work Click here.
DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY
REMOVE AIR CLEANER FILTER ELEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY
REMOVE AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY
REMOVE AIR CLEANER BRACKET
REMOVE BATTERY
REMOVE BATTERY TRAY
REMOVE BATTERY CARRIER (for LHD)
REMOVE BATTERY CARRIER (for RHD)
REMOVE NO. 1 AIR TUBE
Disengage the clamp to separate the wire harness from the No. 1 air tube.
Remove the bolt and nut to separate the wire harness from the No. 1 air tube.
Loosen the 2 hose clamps and disconnect the No. 1 air hose and No. 2 air hose from the No. 1 air tube.
Remove the 2 nuts and No. 1 air tube from the manual transaxle assembly.
REMOVE EXHAUST PIPE
REMOVE REAR CONSOLE BOX
DISCONNECT TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY
REMOVE TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY
Remove the 2 A clips to separate the transmission control cable assembly from the control cable bracket.
Remove the 2 B clips to disconnect the transmission control cable assembly from the manual transaxle assembly.
Remove the 4 nuts and transmission control cable assembly from the vehicle body.
REMOVE TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE SUPPORT
Tech Tips
Perform this procedure only when replacement of the transmission control cable support is necessary.
Remove the nut and transmission control cable support from the vehicle body.
