MANUAL TRANSAXLE OIL ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER CENTER

  2. INSPECT MANUAL TRANSAXLE OIL


    1. Stop the vehicle in a level place.

      *1 Manual Transmission Filler Plug

      Remove the manual transmission filler plug and gasket from the manual transaxle assembly.

      *a 0 to 5 mm (0 to 0.197 in.)

      Check that the oil surface is within 5 mm (0.197 in.) of the bottom of the manual transmission filler plug opening.

      Note


      • Excessively large or small amounts of oil may cause problems.

      • After replacing the manual transaxle oil, drive the vehicle and check the oil level again.

    4. Check for oil leakage when the oil level is low.

    5. Install the manual transmission filler plug and a new gasket to the manual transaxle assembly.

      Torque:
      39 N*m  { 400 kgf*cm, 29 ft.*lbf }
