TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. Install the transmission control cable assembly with the 4 nuts.

      Torque:

      5.0 N*m  { 51 kgf*cm, 44 in.*lbf }

   2.

      Pass the transmission control cable assembly under the transmission control cable support.

      Note

      Do not pass the transmission control cable assembly between the transmission control cable support and dash panel.

   3. Install the 2 cables to the control cable bracket with the 2 new A clips.

   4. Connect the 2 cables to the manual transaxle assembly with the 2 B clips.

2. CONNECT TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY

3. ADJUST TRANSMISSION CONTROL SELECT CABLE

4. INSTALL REAR CONSOLE BOX

5. INSTALL EXHAUST PIPE

   Click here

6. INSTALL NO. 1 AIR TUBE

      Install the No. 1 air tube with the 2 nuts.

      Torque:

      20 N*m  { 199 kgf*cm, 14 ft.*lbf }

   2. Tighten the 2 hose clamps.

      Torque:

      6.0 N*m  { 61 kgf*cm, 53 in.*lbf }

   3. Install the wire harness with the bolt.

      Torque:

      8.4 N*m  { 86 kgf*cm, 74 in.*lbf }

   4. Engage the wire harness clamp.

11. INSTALL AIR CLEANER BRACKET

12. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY

13. INSTALL AIR CLEANER FILTER ELEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY

14. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY

    Click here

15. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Torque:

    5.4 N*m  { 55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf }

16. INSPECT FOR EXHAUST GAS LEAK
