TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE(for TMMF Made) INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the transmission control cable assembly with the 4 nuts.

      Torque:
      5.0 N*m  { 51 kgf*cm, 44 in.*lbf }

      *2 Transmission Control Cable Support

      Pass the transmission control cable assembly under the transmission control cable support.

      Note

      Do not pass the transmission control cable assembly between the transmission control cable support and dash panel.

    3. Install the 2 cables to the control cable bracket with 2 new clips.

    4. Connect the 2 cables to the transaxle with the 2 clips.

  4. INSTALL REAR CONSOLE BOX

  5. INSTALL FRONT NO. 2 FLOOR HEAT INSULATOR (for 2NR-FKE)


    1. Install the front No. 2 floor heat insulator with the nut and the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }

  6. INSTALL FRONT NO. 2 FLOOR HEAT INSULATOR (for 2ZR-FE)


    1. Install the front No. 2 floor heat insulator with the 2 nut and the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }

  7. INSTALL FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY (for 2NR-FKE)

  8. INSTALL FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY (for 2ZR-FE)

  9. INSTALL FRONT FLOOR CENTER BRACE (for 2NR-FKE)

  10. INSTALL FRONT FLOOR CENTER BRACE (for 2ZR-FE)

  11. INSTALL BATTERY CARRIER

  12. INSTALL BATTERY TRAY

  13. INSTALL BATTERY

  14. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY (for 2ZR-FE)

  15. INSTALL AIR CLEANER FILTER ELEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY (for 2ZR-FE)

  16. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE (for 2ZR-FE)

  17. CONNECT NO. 2 VENTILATION HOSE (for 2ZR-FE)

  18. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Torque:
    5.4 N*m  { 55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf }

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

  19. INSPECT FOR EXHAUST GAS LEAK

    Tech Tips

    Perform "Inspection After Repairs" after repairing or replacing the exhaust system.
