Note
After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work Click here.
DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
REMOVE BATTERY
REMOVE BATTERY TRAY
REMOVE BATTERY CARRIER
REMOVE REAR CONSOLE BOX
ADJUST TRANSMISSION CONTROL SELECT CABLE
Remove the clip and disconnect the transmission control select cable from the shift lever.

Release the lock of the cable length adjustment structure of the transmission control select cable.
Slide the slider.
Push the lock piece downward to release the lock.

Hook the outer select lever of the manual transaxle assembly to the reverse restrict pin assembly to secure it.

Connect the transmission control select cable to the floor shift shift lever assembly with the clip.
Note
Make sure that the lock piece protrudes from the adjuster case.
Push the slider shaft until it contacts the cam wall.
Note
Do not pull up the slider shaft.
When adjusting the cable, make sure that the shift lever is in neutral between the 1st and 2nd gear positions.
Lock the cable length adjustment structure of the transmission control select cable.
Note
Push the lock piece as far as it will go.
Confirm whether the cable length adjustment structure is locked securely.

Move the shift lever to the reverse position, so that the outer select lever can be released.
