TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE(for TMMF Made) REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. PRECAUTION

    Note

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work Click here.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

  3. DISCONNECT NO. 2 VENTILATION HOSE (for 2ZR-FE)

  4. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE (for 2ZR-FE)

  5. REMOVE AIR CLEANER FILTER ELEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY (for 2ZR-FE)

  6. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY (for 2ZR-FE)

  7. REMOVE BATTERY

    Click here

  8. REMOVE BATTERY TRAY

    Click here

  9. REMOVE BATTERY CARRIER

    Click here

  10. REMOVE FRONT FLOOR CENTER BRACE (for 2NR-FKE)

  11. REMOVE FRONT FLOOR CENTER BRACE (for 2ZR-FE)

    Click here

  12. REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY (for 2NR-FKE)

    Click here

  13. REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY (for 2ZR-FE)

  14. REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 FLOOR HEAT INSULATOR (for 2NR-FKE)

      Remove the nut, the 2 bolts and the front No. 2 floor heat insulator.

  15. REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 FLOOR HEAT INSULATOR (for 2ZR-FE)

      Remove the 2 nuts, the 2 bolts and the front No. 2 floor heat insulator.

  16. REMOVE REAR CONSOLE BOX

  17. DISCONNECT TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY

  18. REMOVE TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY

    1. Remove the 2 A clips and separate the 2 cables from the control cable bracket.

    2. Remove the 2 B clips and disconnect the 2 cables from the manual transaxle assembly.

      Remove the 4 nuts and the transmission control cable assembly.
