DIFFERENTIAL OIL SEAL REPLACEMENT

PROCEDURE


  1. DRAIN MANUAL TRANSAXLE OIL

  2. REMOVE FRONT DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  3. REMOVE TRANSMISSION CASE OIL SEAL

      Using SST, remove the manual transmission case oil seal.

  4. REMOVE TRANSAXLE CASE OIL SEAL


    1. A01VG1SE03

      Using SST, remove the manual transaxle case oil seal.

  5. INSTALL TRANSMISSION CASE OIL SEAL


    1. Coat the lip of a new oil seal with MP grease.

      Using SST and a hammer, install the new manual transmission case oil seal.

      SST
      09316-60011   ( 09316-00011 )
      Standard depth
      2.1 to 3.1 mm (0.083 to 0.122 in.)

      Note

      Do not damage the oil seal lip.

  6. INSTALL TRANSAXLE CASE OIL SEAL


    1. Coat the lip of a new oil seal with MP grease.

      Using SST and a hammer, install the new manual transaxle case oil seal.

      09636-20010
      Standard depth
      1.7 to 2.7 mm (0.067 to 0.106 in.)

      Note

      Do not damage the oil seal lip.

  7. INSTALL FRONT DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY

  8. ADD TRANSAXLE OIL

  9. INSPECT MANUAL TRANSAXLE OIL LEVEL

  10. INSPECT FOR MANUAL TRANSAXLE OIL LEAK
