PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT MANUAL TRANSAXLE OIL


    1. Stop the vehicle on a level surface.

      *1 Filler Plug

      Remove the filler plug and gasket.

      *a 0 to 5 mm (0 to 0.197 in.)

      Check that the oil level is within 5 mm (0.197 in.) from the bottom of the filler plug opening.

      Note


      • Set the vehicle on a lift so that the vehicle is kept level when it is lifted up.

      • An excessively large or small amount of oil may cause problems.

    4. Check for oil leakage when the oil level is low.

    5. Install a new gasket and the filler plug.

      Torque:
      39 N*m  { 400 kgf*cm, 29 ft.*lbf }
