TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE(for TMC Made) INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the transmission control cable assembly with the 3 nuts.

      Torque:
      5.0 N*m  { 51 kgf*cm, 44 in.*lbf }

    2. Install the 2 cables to the control cable bracket with 2 new clips.

    3. Connect the 2 cables to the transaxle and install the 2 washers and the 2 clips.

      Install the control shift cable to the shift lever retainer.

      Note


      • Install the cable with the protruding portion of the cable outer facing upward.

      • After installing, check that the lock of the cable outer is protruding beyond portion A, as shown in the illustration.

    5. Install the control select cable to the shift lever retainer.

      Note


      • Install the cable with the protruding portion of the cable outer facing upward.

      • After installing, check that the lock of the cable outer is protruding beyond portion A, as shown in the illustration.

    6. Connect the control shift cable to the shift lever.

    7. Connect the control select cable to the shift lever with the clip.

      Note


      • Connect the control select cable so that the adjusting mechanism lock of the control select cable is installed on the left side of the vehicle.

      • Insert the clip in the direction shown in the illustration.

  2. ADJUST TRANSMISSION CONTROL SELECT CABLE

  3. INSTALL REAR CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY

  4. INSTALL FRONT NO. 2 FLOOR HEAT INSULATOR


    1. Install the front No. 2 floor heat insulator with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }

  5. INSTALL FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY

  6. CONNECT NO. 2 HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR CONNECTOR


    1. Connect the connector of the No. 2 heated oxygen sensor.

  7. INSTALL BATTERY CARRIER (for LHD)

  8. INSTALL BATTERY CARRIER (for RHD)

  9. INSTALL BATTERY TRAY

  11. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Torque:
    5.4 N*m  { 55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf }

  12. INSPECT FOR EXHAUST GAS LEAK
