    1. Measure the battery voltage.

      Standard Voltage
      11 to 14 V

      If the voltage is below 11 V, recharge or replace the battery before proceeding to the next step.

      Tech Tips


      • Whether the vehicle battery is discharged can be checked simply by operating the horn.

      • After recharging the battery, using the GTS, initialize the integrated current item*.


        • *: If the Data List item "Integrated Current" indicates 0 or more, initialization is not necessary.

    2. Check the fuses and relays.

    3. Check the connector connections and terminals to make sure that there are no abnormalities such as loose connections, deformation, etc.

  11. CONFIRMATION TEST


    1. Perform a confirmation test.


      1. Warm up the engine.

      2. Turn the air conditioning system off.

      3. Drive the vehicle for 15 minutes to 40 minutes.

      4. Stop the vehicle, shift to neutral and depresses the brake pedal. Check if the stop and start cancel indicator light goes off.

        Tech Tips

        If the engine does not stop due to stop and start system control, air fuel ratio learning and idle speed learning are necessary. Allow the engine to idle for 3 minutes and check that the engine speed is within 50 rpm of the target idle speed.
