CLUTCH SWITCH(for LHD) INSTALLATION

CAUTION:

Some of these service operations affect the SRS airbag system. Read the precautionary notices concerning the SRS airbag system before servicing (See page SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEMS > AIRBAG SYSTEM (w/ VSC) > PRECAUTION).

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL NO. 2 CLUTCH START SWITCH ASSEMBLY


    1. Fully loosen the lock nut of the No. 2 clutch start switch assembly.

    2. Adjust the No. 2 clutch start switch assembly until the center of the clutch pedal pad is at the standard height Click here.

    3. Tighten the lock nut and ensure that the threaded portion is in contact with the cushion.

      Torque:
      16 N*m  { 160 kgf*cm, 12 ft.*lbf }

    4. Connect the connector.

  2. INSTALL LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG ASSEMBLY (w/ Knee Airbag)

  4. INSTALL LOWER NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL (w/o Knee Airbag)

  5. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  6. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Torque:
    5.4 N*m  { 55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf }

  7. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT (w/ Knee Airbag)
