STARTER(for Cold Area Specification Vehicles) REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. PRECAUTION

    Note

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

  3. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY (for CVT)

  4. REMOVE AIR CLEANER FILTER ELEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY (for CVT)

  5. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY (for CVT)

    Click here

  6. REMOVE BATTERY

    Click here

  7. REMOVE BATTERY TRAY

    Click here

  8. REMOVE BATTERY CARRIER

    Click here

  9. DISCONNECT TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY (for CVT)

  10. REMOVE NO. 1 TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE BRACKET (for CVT)

  11. DISCONNECT HEATER WATER HOSE INLET A (for CVT)

      Disengage the clamp to disconnect the heater water hose inlet A from the heater bracket.

  12. REMOVE STARTER ASSEMBLY

      Disconnect the starter assembly connector.

    2. Open the terminal cap.

    3. B0047N4

      Remove the nut to disconnect the wire harness from terminal 30.

    4. Disengage the clamp to disconnect the wire harness from the wire harness clamp bracket.

      Remove the 2 bolts and starter assembly from the cylinder block sub-assembly.

      Remove the bolt and wire harness clamp bracket from the starter assembly.
