STARTER(w/ Stop And Start System) REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. PRECAUTION

    Note

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work Click here.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  3. REMOVE BATTERY

    Click here

  4. REMOVE BATTERY TRAY

    Click here

  5. REMOVE FLYWHEEL HOUSING SIDE COVER

      Disengage the claw while pulling it upward and remove the flywheel housing side cover from the cylinder block sub-assembly.

  6. REMOVE STARTER ASSEMBLY


    1. Open the terminal cap.

    2. B0048CB

      Remove the nut to disconnect the terminal 30 from the magnet starter switch assembly.

    3. Disconnect the terminal 50 connector.

    4. B0046NG

      Disengage the clamp to disconnect the wire harness from the wire harness clamp bracket.

    5. B0045KR

      Remove the 2 bolts and starter assembly from the cylinder block sub-assembly and oil pan sub-assembly.

      Remove the bolt and wire harness clamp bracket from the starter assembly.
