ENGINE OIL COOLER REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE CHARGE WATER COOLER PUMP

  2. REMOVE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY LH

  3. REMOVE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  4. REMOVE FRONT AIRBAG SENSOR

  5. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  6. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  7. DISCONNECT NO. 1 OIL COOLER HOSE

      Using an 8 mm socket wrench, remove the 2 nuts and disconnect the No. 1 oil cooler hose from the oil cooler assembly.

      Remove the O-ring from the No. 1 oil cooler hose.

  8. DISCONNECT OIL COOLER HOSE

      Using an 8 mm socket wrench, remove the nut and disconnect the oil cooler hose from the oil cooler assembly.

      Remove the O-ring from the oil cooler hose.

  9. REMOVE OIL COOLER ASSEMBLY

      Disengage the clamp to disconnect the wire harness from the oil cooler assembly.

    2. Disengage the clamp to disconnect the suction hose sub-assembly from the oil cooler assembly.

      Using an 8 mm socket wrench, remove the 2 bolts, 2 nuts and oil cooler assembly from the vehicle.

      Tech Tips

      Loosen by holding the bolt and turning the nut.

    4. Using an E5 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 3 stud bolts from the oil cooler assembly.

  10. REMOVE GROMMET

      Remove the grommet from the oil cooler assembly.
