RADIATOR INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL RADIATOR DRAIN COCK PLUG


    1. Install the O-ring to the radiator drain cock plug.

      Note

      Replace the O-ring if it is damaged.

    2. Install the radiator drain cock to the radiator assembly.

  2. INSTALL LOWER RADIATOR SUPPORT


    1. Install the 2 lower radiator supports to the radiator assembly.

  3. INSTALL RADIATOR SUPPORT CUSHION


    1. Install the 2 radiator support cushions to the radiator assembly.

  4. INSTALL RADIATOR ASSEMBLY


    1. Engage the 3 guides and install the fan shroud to the radiator assembly.

      Note

      Do not damage the radiator assembly, when installing the fan shroud.

    2. Engage the 3 claws.

    3. Install the radiator assembly together with the fan shroud to the vehicle.

      Note


      • Do not apply excessive force to the cooler condenser assembly or piping, when installing the radiator assembly.

      • Do not damage the radiator assembly and cooler condenser assembly, when installing the radiator assembly.

    4. Engage the clamp to install the wire harness to the fan shroud.

    5. Connect the cooling fan motor connector.

  5. INSTALL COOLER CONDENSER ASSEMBLY


    1. B0047PU

      Engage the 2 guides and install the cooler condenser assembly to the radiator assembly.

      Note

      Do not damage the radiator assembly and cooler condenser assembly, when installing the cooler condenser assembly.

    2. Engage the 2 claws.

  6. INSTALL UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the upper radiator support sub-assembly to the vehicle with the 4 bolts.

      Torque:
      5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }

    2. Engage the 2 clamps and install the hood lock control cable assembly to the upper radiator support sub-assembly.

    3. Engage the 3 clamps and connect the wire harness to the upper radiator support sub-assembly.

    4. Connect the horn connector.

  7. INSTALL FRONT RADIATOR SIDE AIR GUIDE PLATE RH

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  8. INSTALL HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY

  9. CONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE


    1. Connect the No. 2 radiator hose to the radiator assembly and slide the hose clip to secure it.

  10. CONNECT NO. 1 RADIATOR HOSE


    1. Connect the No. 1 radiator hose to the radiator assembly and slide the hose clip to secure it.

  11. CONNECT RADIATOR RESERVOIR TANK HOSE


    1. Connect the radiator reservoir tank hose to the radiator assembly.

  12. INSTALL SUB-RADIATOR BRACKET


    1. Install the sub-radiator bracket to the front bumper reinforcement with the 3 nuts.

      Torque:
      14 N*m  { 143 kgf*cm, 10 ft.*lbf }

  13. INSTALL FRONT AIRBAG SENSOR

  15. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY

  16. INSTALL AIR CLEANER FILTER ELEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY

  17. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE

  18. CONNECT NO. 2 VENTILATION HOSE

  19. INSTALL HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY LH

  20. INSTALL HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY RH

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  21. ADD ENGINE COOLANT

  23. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK

  25. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER RH
