RADIATOR REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER LH

  2. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER RH

  3. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT

  4. DRAIN COOLANT (for Intercooler)

  5. REMOVE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY LH

  6. REMOVE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  7. DISCONNECT NO. 2 VENTILATION HOSE

  8. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE

  9. REMOVE AIR CLEANER FILTER ELEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY

  10. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  11. REMOVE SUB-RADIATOR

    Click here

  12. REMOVE FRONT AIRBAG SENSOR

    Click here

  13. REMOVE SUB-RADIATOR BRACKET

      Remove the 3 nuts and sub-radiator bracket from the front bumper reinforcement.

  14. DISCONNECT RADIATOR RESERVOIR TANK HOSE

      Disconnect the radiator reservoir tank hose from the radiator assembly.

  15. DISCONNECT NO. 1 RADIATOR HOSE

      Slide the hose clip and disconnect the No. 1 radiator hose from the radiator assembly.

  16. DISCONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE

      Slide the hose clip and disconnect the No. 2 radiator hose from the radiator assembly.

  17. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY

  18. REMOVE FRONT RADIATOR SIDE AIR GUIDE PLATE RH

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  19. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Disconnect the horn connector.

    2. B0045EH

      Disengage the 3 clamps and disconnect the wire harness from the upper radiator support sub-assembly.

      Disengage the 2 clamps to separate the hood lock control cable assembly from the upper radiator support sub-assembly.

    4. B0045B5

      Remove the 4 bolts and upper radiator support sub-assembly from the vehicle.

  20. DISCONNECT COOLER CONDENSER ASSEMBLY


    1. B0045FZ

      Disengage the 2 claws.

    2. Disengage the 2 guides and separate the cooler condenser assembly from the radiator assembly.

      Note

      Do not damage the radiator assembly and cooler condenser assembly, when removing the cooler condenser assembly.

  21. REMOVE RADIATOR ASSEMBLY


    1. B00477T

      Disconnect the cooling fan motor connector.

    2. Disengage the clamp to separate the wire harness from the fan shroud.

    3. Remove the radiator assembly together with fan shroud from the vehicle.

      Note


      • Do not apply excessive force to the cooler condenser assembly or piping when removing the radiator assembly.

      • Do not damage the radiator assembly and cooler condenser assembly, when removing the radiator assembly.

    4. B0045SL

      Disengage the 3 claws.

    5. Disengage the 3 guides and remove the fan shroud from the radiator assembly.

      Note

      Do not damage the radiator assembly, when removing the fan shroud.

  22. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT CUSHION

      Remove the 2 radiator support cushions from the radiator assembly.

  23. REMOVE LOWER RADIATOR SUPPORT


    1. B0047G7

      Remove the 2 lower radiator supports from the radiator assembly.

  24. REMOVE RADIATOR DRAIN COCK PLUG


    1. B00462D

      Remove the radiator drain cock plug from the radiator assembly.

    2. Remove the O-ring from the radiator drain cock plug.
