RADIATOR INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL RADIATOR DRAIN COCK


    1. Install the O-ring to the radiator drain cock plug.

      Note

      Replace the O-ring if it is damaged.

    2. Install the radiator drain cock to the radiator assembly.

  2. INSTALL LOWER RADIATOR SUPPORT


    1. Install the 2 lower radiator supports to the radiator assembly.

  3. INSTALL RADIATOR SUPPORT CUSHION


    1. Install the 2 radiator support cushions to the radiator assembly.

  4. INSTALL RADIATOR ASSEMBLY (w/ Air Conditioning System)


    1. Engage the 3 guides and install the fan with motor to the radiator assembly.

      Note

      Do not damage the radiator assembly, when installing the fan with motor.

    2. Engage the 3 claws.

    3. Engage the 2 guides and install the radiator assembly together with the fan with motor to the vehicle.

      Note


      • Do not apply excessive force to the cooler condenser assembly or piping, when installing the radiator assembly.

      • Do not damage the radiator assembly and cooler condenser assembly, when installing the radiator assembly.

    4. Engage the 2 claws.

    5. Connect the cooling fan motor connector.

    6. Engage the clamp to connect the wire harness to the fan shroud.

  5. INSTALL RADIATOR ASSEMBLY (w/o Air Conditioning System)


    1. Engage the 3 guides and install the fan with motor to the radiator assembly.

      Note

      Do not damage the radiator assembly, when installing the fan with motor.

    2. Engage the 3 claws.

    3. Install the radiator assembly together with the fan with motor to the vehicle.

      Note

      Do not damage the radiator assembly, when installing the radiator assembly.

    4. Connect the cooling fan motor connector.

    5. Engage the clamp to connect the wire harness to the fan shroud.

  6. CONNECT RADIATOR RESERVE TANK HOSE

  7. CONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE


    1. Connect the No. 2 radiator hose to the radiator assembly and slide the hose clip to secure it.

      Tech Tips


      • Before removing the No. 2 radiator hose, check the clamp position so that it can be reinstalled in the same position.

      • When reusing the No. 2 radiator hose, attach the clamp on the clamp track portion of the No. 2 radiator hose.

  8. CONNECT NO. 1 RADIATOR HOSE


    1. Connect the No. 1 radiator hose to the radiator assembly and slide the hose clip to secure it.

      Tech Tips


      • Before removing the No. 1 radiator hose, check the clamp position so that it can be reinstalled in the same position.

      • When reusing the No. 1 radiator hose, attach the clamp on the clamp track portion of the No. 1 radiator hose.

  9. INSTALL UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the upper radiator support sub-assembly together with the No. 1 cooler cover to the vehicle with the 4 bolts.

      Torque:
      5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }
    2. Connect the horn connector.

    3. Engage the 2 clamps and connect the hood lock control cable assembly to the upper radiator support sub-assembly.

    4. Engage the 3 clamps and connect the wire harness to the upper radiator support sub-assembly.

  10. INSTALL FRONT AIRBAG SENSOR

  11. INSTALL HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY

  12. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY

  13. INSTALL AIR CLEANER FILTER ELEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY

  14. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Engage the 2 guides and install the air cleaner cap sub-assembly to the air cleaner case sub-assembly.

    2. Secure the air cleaner cap sub-assembly with the 2 clamp hooks.

    3. Connect the air cleaner hose assembly to the air cleaner cap sub-assembly and tighten the hose clamp.

      Torque:
      3.0 N*m  { 31 kgf*cm, 27 in.*lbf }
    4. Engage the 2 clamps to connect the wire harness to the air cleaner cap sub-assembly.

    5. Connect the mass air flow meter sub-assembly connector.

  15. INSTALL HEADLAMP ASSEMBLY LH

  17. ADD ENGINE COOLANT
