COOLING FAN MOTOR ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

PROCEDURE

   INSPECT COOLING FAN MOTOR

   
   

   1. Disconnect the cooling fan motor connector.

   2. Check the operation.

      
      
      1. 

         *a	Component without harness connected (Cooling Fan Motor)

         Check that the cooling fan motor operates smoothly when the battery is connected to the cooling fan motor connector.

         If the cooling fan motor does not operate smoothly, replace the cooling fan motor.

   3. Check the current.

      
      

      1. Measure the current while the cooling fan motor is operating.

         Standard Current
         Condition Specified Condition Battery voltage applied at 20°C (68°F) 10.2 to 14.4 A

         If the result is not as specified, replace the cooling fan motor.

   4. Connect the cooling fan motor connector.
