CAUTION:
Be sure that the ignition switch is off if you work near the electric cooling fans or radiator grille. With the ignition switch ON, the electric cooling fans may automatically start if the engine coolant temperature is high or the air conditioning is on.

PROCEDURE
REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER RH
DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT
REMOVE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY
SEPARATE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY
Detach the 2 clamps and disconnect the hood lock control cable assembly from the upper radiator support.
Remove the 3 bolts and the hood lock assembly.
REMOVE AIRBAG SENSOR BRACKET
REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY
Confirm that the ignition switch is turned off.
Confirm that the cable is disconnected from the negative battery terminal.
CAUTION:
Confirm that the cable is disconnected from the negative battery terminal before performing the operation. Even an impact to only the airbag sensor will cause the airbag to deploy.
Disconnect the airbag connector.
Disconnect the horn connector.
Remove the 4 bolts and the upper radiator support.
DISCONNECT NO. 1 RADIATOR HOSE
Loosen the hose clip and disconnect the No .1 radiator hose from the water filler.
DISCONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE
Loosen the hose clip and disconnect the No. 2 radiator hose from the water outlet pipe.
REMOVE RADIATOR ASSEMBLY
Disconnect the cooling fan motor connector and the wire harness clamp.
Disengage the 2 claws.
Remove the radiator assembly from the vehicle.
Note
Do not apply excessive force to the cooler condenser assembly or piping when removing the radiator assembly.
REMOVE FAN SHROUD
Disengage the 2 claws.
Remove the 2 pawl fittings and the fan shroud
REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT CUSHION
Remove the 2 radiator support cushions from the radiator assembly.
REMOVE LOWER RADIATOR SUPPORT GROMMET
Remove the 2 lower radiator support grommets from the radiator assembly.
REMOVE RADIATOR DRAIN COCK
Remove the radiator drain cock from the radiator assembly.
